I’m sure I’m not the only parent feeing the pinch when it comes to buying stuff for my new baby. With the economy in the dumps, my paycheck staying the same, and prices on everything going up, how do get the things I want for my newborn son? One thing I have started to do is use coupons. I never used look through the Sunday paper or go online to find coupons but now I am. Surprisingly, you can actually save quite a lot of money by using coupons. Some websites even offer free baby stuff on a trial basis! At first I was thinking the 25 cents wasn’t a big deal, however, the quarters add up and some coupons are for a lot more than a few cents. If and when you decide to use coupons and you don’t want to merely peruse the paper, go online and look around. Be specific. The more accurately you define your search term, the more likely you are to find what you are looking for. For example, if you want to find companies that are giving away free baby stuff, type that in to your search box. If you simply type in baby or baby stuff, you are going to waste a lot of time finding the items you want. One last thought, initially I felt a bit awkward using coupons because I make decent money and let my pride get in the way. However, I quickly overcame my reluctance when I saw the savings. Now I even tell my friends where to find good deals! They are grateful for the input. Perhaps we can all ask our loved ones what they are doing to get by in these tough economic times.
